Community Center

In an effort to define urban lenses that provide critical insight into the urban conditions of Honolulu, Learning Library is a proposal for a redevelopment of the existing McCully-Mo’ili’ili Library. The project themes are education, technological adaptation, and community engagement, which were selected to revitalize an under-utilized public amenity. The project focuses on the integration of water recovery systems between the building forms, the introduction of communal green and gardening space, and the exploration of bio-integral utilities.
